Health check in taiwan

Health check in Taiwan is a very unique experience because its more detailed than the health check in Malaysia in some aspects such as they need to check your eye sights, blood pressure, shit and pee.

Yes, you saw it, "Shit and Pee" that is also included in the health check and i will not describe how the process goes but trust me, you really don't want to know. Oh, one thing is that the photo's of my stay in Taiwan will be posted on my facebook account so you will not see them here but what you see here will be my status in Taiwan so that will be all.

Taiwan. Day Two.

I'm back!!!!!! Miss me??
Well , its has been my second day living in Taiwan and well, its not a luxury place to stay in one of the school's broading houses but it is the only place here where we call "home" and the "we" stands for the other Malaysians who are staying at the same place as i do and quite frankly, the people i meet here is more friendlier than the "Assholes" i meet back in Malaysia but even thought that i dislike Malaysia for some personal reasons, i will rather stay in Malaysia than Taiwan because i have Malaysia burned into my skull but this does not mean that i don't like Taiwan, so I'm going to complete my studies here before returning to Malaysia and i mean it seriously.

One last thing before i go, due to reasons which the school wont reveal, i cant update the blog regularly so i will try to write as many as possible in one post and that will be all and i will see you guys on the next post.

I'm to Taiwan for sure!!!!!!!

As my previous post stated that I'm going to Taiwan to study but due to Chinese New Year holiday's, all flights to Taiwan has either booked or unavailable so that I'm going to stay at Malaysia to celebrate Chinese New Year but just a few days ago, i receive a call from the travel agency that arranges the booking of tickets, informs me that the tickets has been booked and the plane leaves on the 23th of this month so This is it, I'm going to Taiwan and I'm going to miss everyone here in Malaysia; well not everyone I'm going to miss but thats not the point, the main thing is that this trip is going to be a once of a lifetime trip for me and I'm going to live it to the fullest.

Soviet Reward Unit Review

This is the fourth and last part of my review about the Soviet Union and this review will be about the reward units available from the three Soviet strategy's which is:
  1. Propaganda Strategy
  2. Urban Combat Strategy
  3. Breakthrough Strategy
These three doctrines provides the Soviet player with different reward units which i will be reviewing in a short moment and as to not confuse everyone the reward units will be listed down from the first doctrine to the last, so without further ado, let the review begin.

Propaganda Strategy
  • BM-13 Katyusha rocket launcher AKA "Stalin Organ"
Role:Indirect Fire Support
Squad Size:0
Weapons:132mm M-13 rockets

This weapon is basically a siege weapon and perfect bombing enemy position before sending any Troops or tanks, due to low accuracy of its rockets so it is best used in large groups and the launcher is quiet weak so better make sure that you have a few tanks or infantry squads to protect them.

Urban Combat Strategy
  • KV-2 Heavy tank AKA Steamroller
Role:Direct Artillery Support
Squad Size:0
Weapons:152-mm howitzer

The KV-2 is a artillery weapon with a shorter range when compared with conventional artillery but has both the speed to keep up with friendly troops and the armor to withstand attacks from enemy fire where conventional artillery does not have, the tank is best used as a breakthrough tank same as the IS-2 because of its ability to destroy enemy defensive emplacement and it can absorb quiet a lot of punishment but the KV-2 is not design for tank on tank battle so better retreat when enemy tanks arrive on the scene where the KV-2 is present.

  • Partisans
Role:Raid and Anti-Infantry
Squad Size:5
Weapons:Three Submachine Guns and Two Bolt action rifles

Freedom Fighters for the soviet union, this squad has both the combination of short range and long range firepower in mind but their best asset is that they can put demolition charges anywhere on the map and can also set booby traps on resource points to prevent the enemy of capturing the point. They are also excellent anti-infantry unit so don't be afraid to send them into groups of enemy infantry.

  • Sniper Ace
Role:Sniper Support and Forward Artillery Observer
Squad Size:1
Weapons:One Scoped Semi-Automatic Rifle
Ability:Artillery Strike (Individual squad upgrade)

Hero of the Soviet Union, this unit is one of the most effective anti-infantry units in the game and when placed well, it will tear enemy infantry with deadly accuracy and with the Forward Artillery Observer upgraded, the Sniper Ace can radio in artillery strikes on the enemy just like the sharpshooter team but with the cloak ability available only to him.

Breakthrough Strategy
  • T-34 Tank Riders
Role:Anti-tank and Anti-infantry
Squad Size:4
Weapons:76.2mm Gun (not upgraded), 85mm gun (when upgraded) and four Submachine Guns
Ability: Capture points

Basically, a squad of four Guards armed with Submachine Guns mounted on a T-34 medium tank and nothing very special about them just the exception that they can capture resource points.

  • Mechanics
Role:Repair and Salvage
Squad Size:4
Weapons: four Pistols
Ability:Salvage

Experts on repairing damaged vehicles and buildings, these men are basically engineers but who are more experience in repairing damaged vehicles so don't expect to use them much because armed with only pistols is not a good idea for combat missions and they can also salvage destroyed vehicles for extra resources.

  • ISU-152 AKA the Juggernaut
Role:Anti-tank and anti-building
Squad Size:0
Weapons:152mm Gun-Howitzer

This is one of the few soviet tanks that can go toe to toe with a tiger or even king tiger tank on normal conditions, this tank is also very effective at destroying enemy buildings , the only weakness of this tank is that it reloads quite slow but due to its ability to destroy heavy tanks like the tiger, it was nicknamed the Zveroboy or "Animal Killer" in English.

So this will be the end of my four part review of the Soviet Union for company of heroes Eastern Front and i hope this will serve those people who think this is enjoyable well. Until next time, this is the UnknownRebel signing off.

Soviet Tank Review

This is the third part of my review and this review will be reviewing the tanks available for the Soviet Union from the Soviet Tank Hall so without further ado, let the review begin.

  • T-70
Role:Reconnaissance and skirmishes
Squad Size:0
Weapons:45mm main gun

My experience with this tank is not much but its still a good tank during the early-mid game fighting enemy vehicles. But once you can built the T34, this tank is quite useless in the late game.

  • T-90
Role:Anti-Infantry, Anti-Aircraft, Reconnaissance and skirmishes
Squad Size:0
Weapons: 2 12.7mm Machine Guns

This tank is basically a T-70 but modified for Anti-Infantry and Anti-Aircraft duties, this tank is quite useful even at the late game because of its ability to cut down enemy infantry effectively and when supported with T34 tanks, they became an effective anti-infantry and anti-armor force.

  • T-34
Role:All around Tank
Squad Size:0
Weapons:76.2mm Gun (not upgraded), 85mm gun (when upgraded) and two machine guns

Icon tank of the Soviet Union, only three words can describe it. Tough, Strong, and Fast. its 76.2mm gun is good sadly it suffer from poor accuracy due to bad vision slits but the gun can be upgrade to a 85mm Gun which not only increase firepower of the T-34, it also increases the accuracy of the tank. The sloped armor of the T-34 does its job well by defecting incoming munitions from tanks like the Panzer IV and Stug IV. The speed of the T-34 is quiet fast in my view so the T-34 is one of the best tanks in the game and its also one of my favorite tank in the game.

  • SU-85
Role:Tank Hunter
Squad Size:0
Weapons:85mm gun (not upgraded), 100mm gun (when upgraded)

The bane of German armor, specifically designed as a tank hunter, Armed with a 85mm gun and sloped armor, this tank is unmatched in terms of firepower and if upgraded to the 100mm gun, its firepower can rival even the mighty King Tiger and its armor can soak up quite a bit of tank fire but overall its a great tank for Anti-tank operations.

  • IS-2
Role:Breakthrough Tank
Squad Size:0
Weapons:122mm gun

The IS-2 Heavy tank is one of the soviet union's most feared tanks due to its heavy armor and 122mm gun, Tanks like the German Panzer IV are not a match for it and it can go toe to toe with a panther. I personally only built one or two of these tank only because of three reasons:
  1. I personally like the cheaper and more cost effective T-34 medium tanks.
  2. The IS-2 reloads and fire slower than a tiger tank.
  3. The cost of it is equal to at least two T-34 medium tanks which more cost effective.

Soviet Support Unit Review

This is the second part of my review and this review will be reviewing the support units available for the Soviet Union from the Soviet Support Barracks so without further ado, let the review begin.

  • Sharpshooter Team
Role:Marksman, Reconnaissance patrol, and forward artillery observer
Squad Size:2
Weapons:Scoped Semi Automatic Rifle (Sniper), and Bolt action rifle (Spotter)
Ability:Artillery Strike (Individual squad upgrade)

The sharpshooter team are the scout and sniper support for the Red army and their marksmanship is as good as any sniper on the field but the worst thing is that they cannot cloak so making them easy targets of enemy tanks or vehicle to hunt for. Once upgraded individually,
the team can radio in artillery strikes on enemy position to support troops.

  • PTRD Tank Hunter Team
Role:Anti-Tank
Squad Size:3 (not upgraded), 4 (upgraded)
Weapons:1 PTRD Anti-tank rifle (not upgraded), 2 (when upgraded), 2 more Bolt action rifles
and Anti-tank Grenades.

As the name shows, this squad is the primary mean of anti-tank for the infantry. Armed with high velocity, high caliber PTRD anti-tank rifles. It is good against light vehicles and medium tanks but in my personal view, the tank hunter team is best used as a defensive unit to fend off massed tank assault along with the ZIS-2 Anti-Tank gun which i review later, overall its great and without it the soviet infantry men with be overrun by enemy tanks.

  • ZIS-2 Anti-Tank Gun
Role:Anti-Tank
Squad Size:4
Weapons:ZIS-2 Anti-Tank Gun,and 2 Bolt action Rifles

To crack tougher and more heavier tanks, The ZIS-2 is the perfect unit for the job, this cheap and mass produced ATG is manned by a crew of four specially trained soldiers who is very accurate when aiming the gun towards enemy tanks. When Upgraded, the crew reloads faster, aims more accurate and fire faster than before.

  • Heavy Mortar Team
Role:Indirect Fire support
Squad Size:4
Weapons:120mm M1938 Heavy Mortar and 2 Bolt action Rifles

Armed with the Biggest mortar in the game, the Russian Mortar team is like a mobile artillery base on foot but without the barrage ability available to them, they can only hit targets which is only visible to them so it sucks for them. The advantage of the mortar is that it packs quite a punch and wide range but with the cost of long reload time and big scatter radius so using it is not an easy job. But when upgraded, the crew reloads faster and scatter radius is much more tight.

  • ZIS-5 Medical Supply Truck
Role:Mobile hospital
Squad Size:0
Weapons:None

Basically, its a Mobile Hospital on wheels and when deployed on one spot, the squads near it will heal automatically and one more thing is that it is no tank so it must be protected from enemy attacks.

Soviet Infantry Review.

As my previous post stated, this will be my review of the new faction of Company of Heroes which is the Soviet Union and the first review will be on Infantry available from the HQ and Red Army Infantry Mustering Tent so without further ado let the review begin.

  • Ingenery
Role:Construction and Clearing Obstacles
Squad Size:4 (not upgraded), 5 (upgraded)
Weapons:Bolt Action Rifles (not upgraded), Submachine Guns (upgraded)

Basically, they are the builders for the Soviet Union and later on, they can be upgrade to Sturmovie Ingenery which gives them body armor for protection, submachine guns for increase close range firepower, satchel charges for clearing obstacles or buildings and one extra mine detector for locating enemy mine fields. If the "Urban Combat Strategy" doctrine is selected, the Ingenery can be upgraded with two flamethrowers.

  • Command Squad
Role:Support
Squad Size:5
Weapons:Bolt Action Rifles and one pistol

With their ability to call-in light artillery strikes and lead heroic charges, this unit is vital for the early and mid-game of any Soviet player due to its ability to break pinning effects receive by troops on the field and request light artillery strikes to defend or break enemy attacks. The Command Squad is also capable of fighting enemy infantry just like any squads in the Red Army.

  • Conscripts
Role:Basic Infantry
Squad Size:8 (not upgraded),9 (upgraded)
Weapons:Bolt action rifles(4 when not upgraded and 8 when upgraded), one pistol

Conscripts are troops who are rushed to the battlefield without any proper training and due to logistical problems, only half the squad will receive rifles leaving the other half "unarmed" and decreasing the squad's effectiveness, the advantage of the Conscripts is cheap, fast to deploy on the field and cost no population. When upgraded, the squad receive extra rifles which armed everyone in the squad, petrol bombs for clearing building's interior of enemy infantry, and one political commissar to help the squad break suppression for a short time.

  • Strelky
Role:Basic Infantry
Squad Size:7
Weapons:Bolt action rifles (default), Submachine guns or Light Machine Guns (upgrades)

The mainstay of the Soviet Army and more experience than the Conscripts. Can be upgraded with either Submachine Guns or Light machine Guns for either offensive or defensive operation, this will be the red tide breaching over your enemies. When upgraded, the squad will have a red flag bearer whose job is to lead the squad to victory.

  • Guards
Role:Elite Infantry
Squad Size:6
Weapons:Semi Automatic Rifles, One Submachine Gun (Upgraded), and Anti-Infantry grenades

Armed with Semi Automatic Rifles, Guards excel at Long range combat and with Anti-Infantry grenades at the ready to get up close and personal with their foe's. Guards are so elite that they cannot be suppress or pinned like any other infantry unit by Heavy machine gun or artillery strike and with the shock guard upgrade, Guards can now lay down covering fire to slow down charging enemies.

Company of Heroes Eastern Front Review.

Its has been 18 days since i download this mod from the internet and i must say for three to four years of waiting, it's worth it because of the introduction of the soviet union into the world of Company of Heroes.

Why, you ask? well, the soviet union played a vital role during the time where Company of heroes takes place and the army they mobilized was the largest during that time, from the simple Russian conscripts to the mighty IS-2 Heavy Tank. The people who develop the mod made the game marvelous in all aspect with the exception of a few minor balancing issue among the units but overall its perfect so I'm going to make a review of the new faction, the soviet union.

Sucks for this little basterd.....

Ok, i have to admit that i drove my dad's pickup on the road at night without a license to drive but my father was there with me when this leopard tries to cross the road and i accidentally ram over it with my dad's pickup. So this is "it" on photo, at first i thought it was some cat but after i drove back to the scene with some doubt's in my mind, it was clear that its a leopard judging from the spots on its back and the length of its tail.
I'm quiet shocked because of the appearance of a leopard in my life and i hope not to see another one ever again in my live.
One last thing, i didn't intend to ram over it so for those animal lovers out there, it was a accident!!! and this incident happen near koyan, a small town near my dad's mining base and the place where my dad trains me how to drive a car.
